How to Apply

The Morongo Charities Committee meets once a month. The Committee only funds organizations which are classified 501 (C) (3). The application process may take six to eight weeks to process. Non-profit organizations may apply once a calendar year.

All documentation listed on the top portion of the Charities application must be submitted with the application, otherwise the application will be considered incomplete and cannot be processed until all required documentation has been submitted. A complete application packet will include:

  • 2009 Charities Application
  • Proposal Letter or Request Letter
  • 2008 Budget
  • Financial Report
  • Copies of Articles of Incorporation and/or By Laws
  • Federal Tax ID Letter.

If the Charities Committee denies a proposal, the submitting organization will be notified by mail. Contact Sheila Esparza, Tribal Affairs Assistant at (951) 755-5117, if you have any additional questions or help in completing the form.
