| Description | Under the direction of the Water Dept. Manager, incumbent will perform a variety of journey level skilled tasks in the following areas: Operate potable and non-potable water production facilities: storage, distribution, transmission, treatment, disinfection, and SCADA control including related appurtenances and water sampling. Operator shall also perform the installation and repair of water distribution mains, water services, fire hydrants, meters, pumps, motors, water plant facilities, associated appurtenances, and participating in the Standby (On Call) rotation schedule. At times this position will directly supervise the Assistant Water System Operator in the absence of the Water System Supervisor. |
