The Morongo Tribal TANF program provides eligible parents and/or caretakers with job preparation, work, education and supportive services to enable them to become self-sufficient.

The Morongo Tribal TANF program has implemented the following assistance and services to support families on their journey to self-sufficiency:

  • Career Development - Job Readiness/Job Club and basic skills development.
  • Transportation - Transportation costs include bus passes, mileage or other public transportation methods.
  • Child Care - TANF may provide child care service to eligible participants participating in approved Morongo Tribal TANF work, activities, school, and training.
  • Employment or Educational Expenses - Supportive services for books, uniforms, educational fees, education supplies, tools not provided by the employer, and license or certification fees.
  • Incentives - Academic and clothing incentives for students in grades K-12 and for graduates from high school or higher educational degrees.
