Description

Under the direction of the Assistant Controller, oversee all aspects of payroll management including: weekly payroll processing for 500+ employees, tax and benefits compliance and reporting and compliance for the payroll function; developing and implementing payroll processing compliance, standardization, continuous improvement, promoting best practices, data privacy regulations and data integrity; maintaining payroll compliance with Federal, Multi-State and Local laws and regulations. 

Position responsibilities also include: support of Finance department to ensure all payroll activities are posted to the general ledger and payroll liability accounts are reconciled timely and accurately, to include month-end, year-end, vacation & sick accruals, responsible for year-end processes to ensure W-2 accuracy; the development and training of payroll staff to ensure productivity and knowledge of overall payroll processes are maintained and improved, performance management, time management and job evaluations for the payroll staff.

Qualifications

 

  • 5-10 years end-to-end payroll experience working with a minimum of 1000 employees.

Description

Under the direction of the TANF Director, plan, organize and oversee the fraud and compliance processes within the Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) program targeted to families moving from welfare to work. Ensure that technical and management efforts are of high quality and in compliance with program policies and objectives. Identify areas of the program where there is a risk and investigate any possible fraud or internal audit findings. Serve as the program expert on all compliance matters and develop, maintain, and update policies and procedures for compliance and quality assurance. Design and develop the ethics and compliance processes to be consistent with current standards and regulations. Design, implement and evaluate systems that audit program files for compliance with Federal, State, and Tribal regulations on a regular basis.

CAD Draftsman/Cost Estimator

Description

Preparation of site, floor, and elevation plans and construction documents for a variety of Tribal Governmental and Enterprise applications.  Assist with developing, analyzing plans and specifications from Architects and Engineers; and offering input on plans from numerous levels (layout, structural, mechanical, electric, etc.). Operate computer-aided design (CAD) drafting system for preparation of both conceptual and construction documents for Tribal projects.  Responsible for preparing detailed budgets on proposed Tribal projects (this includes all on and off-site work, design, engineering, construction, material costs and any other pertinent details related to a particular project). Purchase high volume items and materials that cover extended contract periods.Evaluate supplier and contractor invoices for work completion and prepare for payment.  Perform related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of five years of professional experience related to construction, including experience in drafting, cost estimating, scheduling, project mgmt., and engineering elevations. 
  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office are required.
