Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, provides training, consultation, and problem solving assistant to Eligibility Technicians and Case Advocates. Assist in supervising the daily operations of case loads. Additional duties include, but are not limited to, the following: supervision of assigned personnel; oversee the coordination of all activities and work closely with all TANF staff; ensure all program activities are in accordance with TANF regulations, policies and procedures. Incumbent is expected to exercise knowledgeable, independent judgment on routine and non-routine matters.

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years increasingly responsible experience in social work, including extensive experience with TANF preferred.
  • Experience with Case Management in a human service setting is required.
  • Efficient organizational skills; plus excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and software, and knowledge of basic office equipment is a requirement.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related field.
  • Experience may be substituted in lieu of required education; prior experience providing social services to Native communities will be considered.

Description

Under the direction of an Accounting Supervisor, perform a variety of clerical accounting duties in support of: payroll, per capita, gaming, investments, grants, and other general accounting functions. Duties include, but are not limited to, answering phones, distributing checks, receiving deposits/utility payments, creating utility work orders, and filing.

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years experience in clerical accounting required.
  • Organizational and time management skills are essential. Ability to process a heavy work load under a tight deadline is required. 
  • A solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook is required.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • College coursework in Accounting is preferred.

Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, to plan, organize and supervise the work of a unit of Family Advocates engaged in providing a variety of family focused community prevention and diversion programs for families who are current Tribal TANF recipients. This class is the first-level supervision for Family Advocates.  Programs may include, but not limited to youth prevention, family formation education and activities. 

Qualifications

 

  • Two years of experience equivalent to Family Advocate or Case Advocate in a Human Services/Social Services agency preferably in the provision of Tribal TANF services.
  • Valid driver license and insurability on company insurance policy.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Sociology or related field.

Description

Under the direction of the Director, the Account Specialist will establish, review and maintain controls on fiscal record keeping functions for the Temporary Assistance to needy Families(TANF) department.  In addition, will organize and oversee accounting, budgeting, and other fiscal management and internal control systems for Tribal TANF operations.

Qualifications

 

  • A working knowledge of the principles and practices of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Office of Management & Budget (OMB) Circulars and Public Administration with emphasis on fiscal management, fund accounting, and government finance is required.
  • Knowledge of MS Office, including, spreadsheets and accounting software.
  • Valid CA Drivers License and be insurable on Company’s policy.
  • Any combination equivalent to: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field and three (3) years experience with tribal programs involving accounting and budgeting; or a combination of education and work experience.

Under the direction of the Site Manager, plan, develop and implement social services designed to assist TANF participants in specific areas of career development and welfare; coordinate and direct TANF resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals to assure smooth and efficient activities. Provide TANF participants social and personal preventative & developmental guidance.

  • A minimum of 1-2 years experience within a social services setting specific to welfare needs.

Location Reservation Patrol
Description

Provide protection, security and safety enforcement services to safeguard the lives, property, and rights of Tribal members and guests. Respond to crime and accident scenes, emergency situations and other requests for assistance.  Duties include, but are not limited to, patrol assigned areas, assist with money pulls and prepare daily logs.

Qualifications

 

  • Mandatory possession of current California Guard Card, Weapons Permit, PC 832 and Level 1.
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or POST Certificate required.
  • A clean driving record and insurability on Company insurance policy is a requirement.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required prior to date of hire.
  • Ability to pass a stringent background and credit check, and computer skills assessment.  In addition, candidate will need to have his/her own duty belt and boots.

Description

Under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, perform a variety of skilled duties involved in the mechanical maintenance of company vehicles, fire trucks, tractors, and buses. Other duties include, but not limited to, maintain tools, records and repair orders.

  • Must have minimum 5 years working on Heavy Equipment mechanic experience; diesel engine knowledge required.

Description

Incumbent will perform security and safety verifications of all vehicles, members, visitors, and personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation; safeguarding the lives, property and rights of tribal members and guests. Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and logs related to activities. Provide other security enforcement services as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of six (6) months previous security experience required.

Description

Incumbent will perform a variety of skilled tasks related to the installation, repair and maintenance of: distribution water mains, services, hydrants, meters, pumps, motors and related equipment. Operate water system utilizing SCADA Control, inspect water plant facilities and evaluate system. Monitor water quality and participate in on call (Stand by rotation); provide customer service; performs as a Lead worker; operates heavy equipment and related tools.

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of motorized equipment (loaders, backhoes, dump truck).
  • Skilled level in procedures and techniques used in the installation, maintenance and repairs of water related apprentice.
  • Three (3) years water related experience preferred.
  • Must have class B Commercial license at time of hire or able to obtain within 6 months hire.
  • Must posses and  maintain a valid State of CA Water Distribution Grade 2 and Treatment Grade 1 license at time of hire, or AWWA Grade 2 is acceptable in Lieu of State Distribution License.

Description

Perform tasks involving the care and maintenance of greens, fairways, traps, tees, shrubbery and other areas of the golf course in order to maintain acceptable appearance and meet golfing standards. Work involves operation and preventive maintenance of golf course with heavy equipment. Operate triplex greens mower, walking and triplex riding power mower, self-propelled varticut machine and other equipment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of: standard methods, practices, tools and equipment used in developing and maintaining the fairways and greens ; use and operation of mowers, spray machines and other standard tools; and equipment used in the care and maintenance of a golf course.
  • One (1) year of experience in gardening, and care and maintenance of golf courses, lawns, or athletic fields required.

Description

Under the direction of the Education Administrator, teach and instruct academic, social, behavioral and other related skill areas; plan, develop, organize and conduct a comprehensive education program for elementary grades 1-6, based on the curriculum outlined by the California Department of Education.

Qualifications

 

  • California credential authorizing the holder to teach in elementary grades; General Elementary, General Primary, Standard Elementary or Multiple Subject. 
  • No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant.  Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency and current TB test.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with emphasis in elementary education, instructional technology, and a subject matter field commonly taught in the elementary grades or closely related field which meets credential requirements.

Description

Assist in planning, organizing, marketing, directing, and review all the activities of the Morongo Bowling and Gaming Center, including the daily operations and profitability of the bowling center, billiards room arcades, and class II gaming center, facility and equipment maintenance, customer service and food beverage services.

  • Able to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.

Description

Responsible for coordinating serving stations and providing customers with excellent quality service. Greet guests at their tables, keeping them comfortable. Provide efficient service by guiding guests through menus, suggestively selling drinks, appetizers, entrees and desserts.

Also responsible for keeping orders organized and timing the course of service for guests.

Qualifications

 

  • Ability to work flexible shifts and schedules, including evenings, weekends, and holidays is a requirement.

Read guest order tickets and prepare meals as specified by menu.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, grilling, cooking, roasting, operating steam kettles, and frying foods. Assembling meals (hot & cold) and plate garnishes. Order and stock supplies. Clean kitchen and equipment according to standards. Provide excellent customer service.

  • Candidate is required to have prior culinary training and three (3) years experience as a short order or line cook.
