Description

Under the direction of the Public Works Director, organize and direct the maintenance and repair of Morongo vehicles and equipment. Evaluate and coordinate repairs and servicing needs assuring compliance with OSHA safety regulations. Prepare and maintain a variety of narrative and statistical reports, records and files related to vehicle inspections, repairs, and financial activity. Train and evaluate the performance of assigned personnel.

Qualifications

 

  • Must have minimum 7 years working on heavy equipment (school and shuttle buses, fire engines, and automobiles) 
  • 2 years supervisory experience
  • Gasoline and diesel engines knowledge required.
  • Prior CNG and A/C knowledge is preferred.
  • Valid Class B California Drivers License with clean driving record. Must be insurable.

Description

Under the direction of the Environmental Director, Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of specialized secretarial and administrative assistant duties to assist environmental programs including: planning and scheduling meetings; establishing and maintaining filing systems; conducting research and managing projects; maintaining several grant budgets; performing QA/QC checks and data management on environmental monitoring records; coordinating education outreach activities including developing and presenting information; overseeing the student internship program; receiving visitors, answering phones, disseminating information, etc; maintaining office supplies; composing memos, letters, etc; producing the department quarterly newsletter; and assisting with field work, as needed.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of two years of Administrative Assistant experience required.
  • Solid knowledge of Microsoft Office applications; Word, Excel, Outlook, and Publisher.

Location Facilities Maintenance
Description

Perform routine custodial duties to maintain assigned buildings and adjacent areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. Duties include, but are not limited to, clean and vacuum floors and carpets, and sanitize bathrooms and break rooms. Basic building maintenance experience preferred (painting, light bulb & filter replacement, light plumbing, etc.).

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of one (1) year of related experience or training in the custodial arts.
  • A valid CA Driver’s License and be insurable on the company vehicle insurance policy. 
  • Ability to lift/push up to 50 lbs and stand up to 8 hrs.
  • Clearly communicate orally and in writing.

Location Transportation Department
Description

Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, operate school bus safely and efficiently while transporting students on assigned routes and locations in compliance with California Highway Patrol regulations.  Ensure passenger safety and conduct daily bus inspections and maintenance.

Qualifications

 

  • Required to possess and maintain the following items:
    • Current School Bus Certification 
    • Valid California Class B Driver’s License with passenger  & airbrake endorsements
    • Passenger, airbrake and School Bus endorsements. 
    • First Aid and CPR certified.
    • Insurable on company vehicle insurance.
    • Charter bus experience required.

Description

Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne. Set up and maintain the cleanliness and condition of bar, bar unit, tables, glasses, dishes and other tools. Prepare fresh garnishes for drinks. Stock ice, glassware, and paper supplies. Anticipate and communicate replenishment needs. Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

 

  • Excellent verbal skills.  Ability to tactfully and diplomatically deal with customers and staff. 
  • Knowledge of all phases of beverage administration, cost control, and familiarity of all beverage services required. 
  • Excellent customer service skills are essential.
  • Valid Food Handler Card is required prior to starting work.
  • It is encouraged but not required for individuals to have a bartending license/certificate.

Description

Respond to and investigate crime and accident scenes, emergency situations and other requests for assistance. Work with outside Law Enforcement Departments to gather reports and additional information. Provide protection, security and safety enforcement services to safeguard the lives, property, and rights of Tribal members and guests. Enforce the laws and ordinances of the Tribe.

Qualifications

 

  • Mandatory requirements: current CA Guard Card
  • License to Carry a Concealed Weapon (CCW) and a minimum of five (5) years working for a POST certified Police Department.
  • Experience working field investigations and writing and processing confidential reports is required.
  • Ability to pass a stringent background & credit check.  In addition, candidate must have his/her own duty belt and boots.
  • Candidates will go through a computer skills assessment.
  • Valid CA Driver License and a good driving record to be insurable on Company’s policy.

Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, plan, develop and implement social services designed to assist TANF participants in specific areas of career development and welfare; coordinate and direct TANF resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals to assure smooth and efficient activities. Provide TANF participants social and personal preventative & developmental guidance. 

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years increasingly responsible experience in social work, including extensive experience with TANF.
  • Experience with Case Management in a human service setting is required.
  • Efficient organizational skills; plus excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and software, and knowledge of basic office equipment is a requirement.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required.

Description

Qualifications

 

  • Mandatory possession of current California Guard Card, Weapons Permit, PC 832 and Level 1.
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or POST Certificate required.

Description

Under the direction of the Fleet Maintenance Supervisor, perform a variety of skilled duties involved in the mechanical maintenance of company vehicles, fire trucks, tractors, and buses. Also maintain various other company gear including grounds equipment, small gas engines and electrical powered equipment. Other duties include, but not limited to, maintain tools, records and repair orders.

Description

Perform tasks involving the care and maintenance of greens, fairways, traps, tees, shrubbery and other areas of the golf course in order to maintain acceptable appearance and meet golfing standards. Work involves operation and preventive maintenance of golf course with heavy equipment. Operate triplex greens mower, walking and triplex riding power mower, self-propelled varticut machine and other equipment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of: standard methods, practices, tools and equipment used in developing and maintaining the fairways and greens ; use and operation of mowers, spray machines and other standard tools; and equipment used in the care and maintenance of a golf course.
  • One (1) year of experience in gardening, and care and maintenance of golf courses, lawns, or athletic fields required.

Description

Under the direction of the Education Administrator, teach and instruct academic, social, behavioral and other related skill areas; plan, develop, organize and conduct a comprehensive education program for elementary grades 1-6, based on the curriculum outlined by the California Department of Education.

Qualifications

 

  • California credential authorizing the holder to teach in elementary grades; General Elementary, General Primary, Standard Elementary or Multiple Subject. 
  • No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant.  Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency and current TB test.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with emphasis in elementary education, instructional technology, and a subject matter field commonly taught in the elementary grades or closely related field which meets credential requirements.

Description

Prepare and cook meals for customers of Morongo Golf Club. Read guest order tickets and prepare meals as specified by menu.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, grilling, cooking, roasting, operating steam kettles, and frying foods. Assembling meals (hot & cold) and plate garnishes. Order and stock supplies. Clean kitchen and equipment according to standards. Provide excellent customer service.

Qualifications

 

  • Candidate is required to have prior culinary training and three (3) years experience as a short order or line cook. 
  • Valid Food Handler Card is required prior to starting work.
  • Candidate needs to be flexible and available to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
