Description

Incumbent will perform security and safety verifications of all vehicles, members, visitors, and personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation; safeguarding the lives, property and rights of tribal members and guests. Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and logs related to activities. Provide other security enforcement services as assigned.

Qualifications

 

  • Minimum of six (6) months previous security experience required. 
  • Possession of a current California Guard Card and California Driver’s License is required.
  • A clean driving record and insurability on Company insurance policy is a requirement.
  • Current CPR and First Aid certification required prior to date of hire. Ability to pass a stringent background.

Description

Responsible for providing and maintaining outstanding customer service and employee relations. Duties include, but are not limited to, generating sales, merchandising, safeguarding company assets, cashiering, stocking, maintenance, and working in the snack bar.

  • Previous cash handling experience and good customer service skills is required.
  • Ability to bend, squat, pull, push, twist and lift 50 lbs.

Location Transportation Department
Description

Under the direction of the Transportation Manager, operate school bus safely and efficiently while transporting students on assigned routes and locations in compliance with California Highway Patrol regulations.  Ensure passenger safety and conduct daily bus inspections and maintenance.

Must possess or able to obtain and maintain the following items:

• School Bus Certification. 
• Valid California Class B Driver’s License with passenger  & airbrake endorsements
• Passenger, airbrake and School Bus endorsements. 
• First Aid certified.
• Insurable on company vehicle insurance.
• Charter bus experience required.

Morongo is willing to train. Incumbent must pass CDL, complete extensive training to include a CHP background and pass third party medical examination. Candidate must complete and obtain all requirements within 60 days (2 months) of hire.

Description

Under the direction of the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO), provide overall leadership, management, supervision, and accountability for all Education Department programs and services including Morongo School. Communicate clearly and frequently about education services and programs to various audiences. Create a clear vision and written plans to guide all future program development, including: timelines, structures and resource allocation required in meeting specific educational needs identified by the Tribe. Provide for the supervision, evaluation, and guidance for the ongoing professional development of education services staff. Provide information to and the meaningful engagement of the Morongo Education Committee.

Qualifications

 

  • REQUIRED EXPERIENCE

    ·       A minimum of 6-years of successful leadership experience in a public or private School Principal position

    ·       A minimum of 6-years of successful classroom teaching experience in on or more grade-levels

    ·       Valid CA driver’s license and insurable on company policy

    ·       Valid CA K-12 Administrative Credential.

  • DESIRED EXPERIENCE

    ·       A minimum of 4-years of successful experience in directly supporting a public or private Board of Education or Board of Directors

    A minimum of 5-years of leadership experience over educational programs operating preschool, k-12, Special Education, Alternative Education and Adult Education

    A minimum of a Masters Degree in Educational Leadership or Administration required. An earned doctoral Degree from a recognized and accredited University of Educational Leadership or Public Administration is preferred.

Location Cultural Heritage Coordinator
Description

Plan, organize and direct Cultural Heritage projects designed to promote community interest in the Morongo Band of Mission Indians’ history and culture. Research and develop cultural resources for the Morongo community; manage and maintain the Morongo Collections; participate in tribal Cultural Resource Management consultations (CRM) with Local, State, Federal agencies. Develop archive systems and language learning materials; create curriculum and instruct cultural education; incite community involvement and participation in project objectives and activities. Additional tasks include speaking in public and with groups, and preparing and reviewing comprehensive reports. 

Qualifications

 

  • Strong background in research focused on Indian scholarship, including, formal training in policy, history, linguistics and anthropology.
  • Minimum of two (2) years experience in cultural program development with an emphasis in native fine arts, traditional performing arts, or historical preservation.
  • The ability to conduct research, write and communicate effectively is required.
  • Solid acknowledge of Microsoft Office applications is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Native American Studies, Anthropology or a related field preferred.
  • Experience can be substituted for education.

Description

Under the direction of the Construction Services Manager and/or Director, the Custodial Supervisor’s responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Supervision of Employees (develop and maintain work schedules, quality control, safety, training, coaching, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions); Inventory (issue and track supplies, cultivate relationship with vendors and negotiate deals, monitor equipment, negotiate repairs as needed); Budget (track expenses, research and submit proposals for recommended purchases, assist in department’s annual budget preparation, control uniform program); Records (maintain several computerized records and logs); and Liaison (with other departments and tribal members).

 

Qualifications

 

  • 5 years custodial experience with 2+ years supervisory experience; proficient in MS Outlook, Word & Excel
  • Able to multi-task with superior organizational skills, good communication skills, bilingual (English/Spanish) preferred

Description

Performs chemical applications on golf course properties and fertilizes tees, greens and fairways; applies chemicals on greens. The Chemical Technician is responsible for reading, understanding and keeping current with material Safety Data Sheets (MSDS). This position is also responsible for compiling preliminary reports of pesticide usage for the Golf Course Superintendent.

  • Valid California driver’s license and must be insurable.
  • Requires current state certification or licensing as a pesticide applicator.

Description

Perform routine custodial duties to maintain assigned buildings and adjacent areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition. Duties include, but are not limited to, clean and vacuum floors and carpets, and sanitize bathrooms and break rooms. Basic building maintenance experience preferred (painting, light bulb & filter replacement, light plumbing, etc.).

Description

Prepare drink orders for guests according to specified recipes using measuring systems. Issue, open, and serve wine and champagne. Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, plan, develop and implement social services designed to assist TANF participants in specific areas of career development and welfare; coordinate and direct TANF resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals to assure smooth and efficient activities. Provide TANF participants social and personal preventative & developmental guidance. 

Qualifications

 

  • A minimum of two (2) years increasingly responsible experience in social work, including extensive experience with TANF.
  • Experience with Case Management in a human service setting is required.
  • Efficient organizational skills; plus excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and software, and knowledge of basic office equipment is a requirement.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited University in Human Services, Social Work, Psychology or a related field is required.

  • Mandatory possession of current California Guard Card, Weapons Permit, PC 832 and Level 1.
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or POST Certificate required.

Description

Perform tasks involving the care and maintenance of greens, fairways, traps, tees, shrubbery and other areas of the golf course in order to maintain acceptable appearance and meet golfing standards. Work involves operation and preventive maintenance of golf course with heavy equipment. Operate triplex greens mower, walking and triplex riding power mower, self-propelled varticut machine and other equipment.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of: standard methods, practices, tools and equipment used in developing and maintaining the fairways and greens ; use and operation of mowers, spray machines and other standard tools; and equipment used in the care and maintenance of a golf course.
  • One (1) year of experience in gardening, and care and maintenance of golf courses, lawns, or athletic fields required.

Description

Under the direction of the Education Administrator, teach and instruct academic, social, behavioral and other related skill areas; plan, develop, organize and conduct a comprehensive education program for elementary grades 1-6, based on the curriculum outlined by the California Department of Education.

Qualifications

 

  • California credential authorizing the holder to teach in elementary grades; General Elementary, General Primary, Standard Elementary or Multiple Subject. 
  • No Child Left Behind (NCLB) compliant.  Valid First Aid and CPR Certificate issued by an authorized agency and current TB test.
  • Possession of a Bachelor’s Degree or higher degree with emphasis in elementary education, instructional technology, and a subject matter field commonly taught in the elementary grades or closely related field which meets credential requirements.

We are recruiting for a teacher to instruct our 9th   grade self-contained class. We are looking for a strong educator who is patient, flexible, and has skills in implementing developmentally appropriate practices and standards. Teacher must exhibit strong skills in the areas of academic instruction, classroom management, and positive behavioral supports and interventions.

  • Math authorization preferred.

Assembling meals (hot & cold) and plate garnishes. Order and stock supplies. Clean kitchen and equipment according to standards. Provide excellent customer service.

  • Candidate is required to have prior culinary training and three (3) years experience as a short order or line cook.
