Qualifications

Line cook

Description

Prepare and cook meals for customers of Morongo Golf Club. Read guest order tickets and prepare meals as specified by menu.  Tasks include, but are not limited to, grilling, cooking, roasting, operating steam kettles, and frying foods. Assembling meals (hot & cold) and plate garnishes. Order and stock supplies. Clean kitchen and equipment according to standards. Provide excellent customer service.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Candidate is required to have prior culinary training and three (3) years experience as a short order or line cook. 
  • Valid Food Handler Card is required prior to starting work.
  • Candidate needs to be flexible and available to work mornings, nights, weekends, holidays, and special events.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. preferred.

Water system operator

Description

Incumbent will perform a variety of skilled tasks related to the installation, repair and maintenance of: distribution water mains, services, hydrants, meters, pumps, motors and related equipment. Operate water system utilizing SCADA Control, inspect water plant facilities and evaluate system. Monitor water quality and participate in on call (Stand by rotation); provide customer service; performs as a Lead worker; operates heavy equipment and related tools.

 

Qualifications

 

  • Kknowledgeable of motorized equipment (loaders, backhoes, dump truck).
  • Skilled level in procedures and techniques used in the installation, maintenance and repairs of water related appurtenances.
  • Two (2) to three (3) years water related experience preferred.
  • Must have class B Commercial license at time of hire or able to obtain within 6 months hire.
  • Must posses and  maintain a valid State of CA Water Distribution Grade 2 and Treatment Grade 1 license at time of hire, or AWWA Grade 2 is acceptable in Lieu of State Distribution License.
  • High School Diploma or G.E.D. required.

Bowling attendant

Description

Under the direction of the Morongo Bowling Center General Manager, performs varied customer service duties including cashiering, taking reservations, providing simple bowling instructions, cooking, and cleaning. Plan, coordinate and organize bowling lanes activities and equipment maximizing guest experience and use of facility.

I.T. Director

Description

Responsible for the overall management of Morongo’s information technology functions including long-term planning, procurement, budgeting, and contract negotiations. Provide direct leadership, day-to-day supervision, and ongoing development to the IT and Cable departments with a total of 7 staff members. Work with Morongo staff to assess and respond to varied departments’ IT needs. Plan, implement, ensure compliance, service delivery and evaluation of the IT operations for both Tribal Administration and Enterprises. Maintain the integrity, security, and continual operation of Morongo’s networks, communications lines and applicable equipment. Provide expertise and support.

Qualifications

 

  • At least 7 years of highly responsible experience in all phases of business data processing including systems analysis, programming, computer operations, communications, and project management for a major system implementation.
  • Minimum 5 years in an I.T. management capacity.
  • Public sector experience highly desired.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or other closely related field required.

Under the direction of the Bowling Center General Manager, perform a variety of skilled activities on bowling equipment, preventive maintenance, minor and major repairs, and electrical work as needed.

  • Experience with the proper operation and maintenance of tools, equipment and machinery used in bowling facility maintenance.
  • Knowledge of USBC specifications and established requirements and standards.

I.T. Technician I

Description

Under the direction of the I.T. Director, incumbent will assists tribal government staff with technical support of desktop computers, applications, and related technology. Support includes specification, installation, and testing of computer systems and peripherals. Activities require interaction with application software and operating systems to diagnose and resolve unique, non-recurring problems. Will provide one-on-one support to end users. Incumbent will also assist in the maintenance and testing of network servers and associated equipment.

Qualifications

 

  • Position requires independent analysis, communication and problem solving.
  • Ability to perform work with minimal supervision and execute initiative and good judgment is essential.
  • A minimum of six (6) months experience working with personal computers, laptops, telecommunication systems, LANs, data/voice equipment, and data cabling is required.

Speech Therapist

  • Current Clinical or Rehabilitative Services Credential (Language, Speech and Hearing)
  • Speech and Language Pathology Services Credential or other credential issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing authorizing holder to provide students with speech, language and hearing services.

Teacher Assistant

Under the direction of the Assistant Principal/Teacher, responsible for assisting in the care and supervision of students, as well as the delivery of learning activities for students at various grade-levels.  These activities will take place in classrooms, on playgrounds, during bus loading and unloading, and with other school related tasks, as assigned. Responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, receiving and signing in children,   creating documents and reports, and performing simple clerical duties.

  • A minimum of three to five (3-5) years’ cash handling and customer service with one (1) year selling tobacco and alcohol experience.

Respond to crime and accident scenes, emergency situations and other requests for assistance.  Duties include, but are not limited to, patrol assigned areas, assist with money pulls and prepare daily logs.  

Qualifications

 

  • Mandatory possession of current California Guard Card, Weapons Permit, PC 832 and Level 1.
  • Minimum of six months related experience and/or POST Certificate required.

Incumbent will perform security and safety verifications of all vehicles, members, visitors, and personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation; safeguarding the lives, property and rights of tribal members and guests. Prepare and maintain a variety of reports and logs related to activities. Provide other security enforcement services as assigned.

  • Minimum of six (6) months previous security experience required.
