Description

Direct the research, assembly and compiling of a variety of technical information related to Planning projects and functions; oversee the preparation and distribution of correspondence, fiscal documents and informational materials; review development proposals and site plans for conformance with codes, plans, and regulations.  Collect a variety of statistical data and prepare reports and maps. Evaluate and/or assist in the evaluation of ordinance amendments, site plans, conditional use permits, variances and other proposals.  Review and interpret maps, easement documents, street improvement plans, public works improvement plans, and storm drains; conduct field evaluations and assessments.  Liaison between community groups, government agencies, developers and elected officials in developing neighborhood plans.

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of relevant specialization such as transportation, land use, or affordable housing is desired. 
  • Ability to create graphic designs, development strategies, and render site plans via sketches and/or computer graphics highly desirable. 
  • Ability to evaluate and assure legal compliance for project plans. 
  • Ability to work simultaneously on several projects independently or with a team.  
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills with solid knowledge of Microsoft Office, Internet applications and GIS software.  
  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning, architecture, public policy, or related area of study and five (5) years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

Bowling Center Attendant

Description

Under the direction of the Site Manager, plan, develop and implement social services designed to assist Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF) participants in the specific areas of family formation development; coordinate and direct Morongo Tribal TANF Program resources and communications to meet program objectives and goals to assure smooth and efficient activities.

Qualifications

 

  • Efficient organizational skills; plus excellent oral and written communication skills are required.
  • Proficiency in computer operations and software, and knowledge of basic office equipment is a requirement.
  • Any combination equivalent to: An Associate of Art’s Degree in Human Services or related field and two years’ experience working in community outreach, public administration, or social services agency. 
  • Bachelor’s degree and experience providing social services to the Native American community preferred.

Description Under the direction of the Site Manager, the Eligibility Technician performs varied technical work in determining eligibility for one of several categorical forms of aid; and performs related work. Duties may include a combination of the following: interviewing applicants and reviewing documentation for the purpose of eligibility verification, processing assistance benefits, and making referrals to supportive services. Ensure that case documentation meets regulatory guidelines.

Qualifications

 

  • Knowledge of Federal, State, Current TANF, social service laws and regulations.
  • Communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
  • Computer literate MS Office including Word and Outlook.
  • Effectively communicate with clients and team members.
  • Current driver license and insurability on Morongo policy.

  • An Associate of Arts degree, or its equivalent, from an accredited college or university with course work in human services, social work, sociology, psychology or a related field, AND, two (2) years of progressively responsible work experience in a recognized public or tribal social service agency, one (1) year of which included determining and continuing eligibility service needs in a county, state, federal or Tribal TANF social service agency.

 

Equipment mechanic

Description

Incumbent will perform security and safety verifications of all vehicles, members, visitors, and personnel entering and exiting the Morongo Reservation; safeguarding the lives, property and rights of tribal members and guests.
