Morongo Donates Record Number of Turkeys to Several Charities Throughout SoCal

Recognizing the growing number of people in need, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians today began distributing a record-high 10,000 turkeys to provide more than 220,000 Thanksgiving dinners to children, families, seniors and veterans across Southern California.

Tribal Chairman Martin Honored by Banning Chamber of Commerce

Dozens of federal, state and local leaders gathered as the Banning Chamber of Commerce presented its Excellence in Leadership Award to Tribal Chairman Robert Martin 

Morongo Gives $40,000 In Scholarships

 In its continuing effort to provide opportunity to the next generation of tribal leaders, the Morongo Band of Mission Indians has awarded four Native American students from across California with $40,000 in college and graduate school scholarship

Fire Dept. Open House A Huge Success

The Annual Morongo Fire Department Open House was a success with over 200 in attendance. The Fire Department would like to thank all of the Tribal Members, residents and employees that were able to attend on the 16th of November. The Morongo Fire Department feels that an open house is a great opportunity to get to know each other within the community of Morongo.

Malki Museum Hosts Fall Gathering

Malki Museum’s 18th annual Fall Gathering will take place Oct. 27 at 10 a.m. at 11795 Malki Rd. on the Morongo Reservation. The event will include Native American arts, crafts and demonstrations, rabbit stick throwing, pottery demonstrations, Cahuilla Bird singing, basket weaving, a native food display and tasting and more. Admission and parking are free.
