Morongo Helps Holiday Wishes Comes True for 3,000 Inland Children

Laughter  and excitement filled the morning air as  3,000 disadvantaged children from across the Inland region eagerly searched for their favorite toys during the annual Christmas Cheer All Year shopping  spree Monday sponsored by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians.
 

Native Youth Elect National Co-Presidents and Regional Representatives at UNITY 2013

More than 1200 Native American youth from throughout the US participated in regional caucus meetings, held elections and selected a national male Co-President and female Co-President during the National UNITY Conference last week in Los Angeles.  UNITY stands for United National Indian Tribal Youth, Inc.  Nataanii Hatathlie, 19, Navajo, is the new male Co-President and Dominique Lombardi, 20, Morongo Band of Mission Indians, is the new female Co-President.  They will work with 10 regional reps address

Morongo Charity Golf Tournament Surpasses One Million Dollar Mark

Hundreds of golfers took the fairways as part of the 17th Annual Morongo Charity Golf Tournament which raised $60,000 for several non-profit groups, including a program that will provide new backpacks, school supplies and shoes to as many as 500 low-income children in the San Gorgonio Pass.
